the Lower part of the charts ( MIT offenen Karten in German) is a weekly television program presented by the anthropologist and geopolitician Jean-Christophe Victor (wire of the explorer Paul-Emile Victor) and diffused since 1990 on the Seven, then Arte.

The objective of the emission is to present a situation Géopolitique using the Cartographie. The majority of the necessary informations to the presentation is reproduced on charts of the area concerned. The emission mixes thus geopolitical and approaches multiscalaire in a very dense speech of ten minutes.

Example: the importance of the tiny atoll of Diego Garcia was presented by historical charts, then contemporary with small and large scale S.

The contents of the emission are prepared by Jean-Christophe Victor and the Laboratoire of political studies and cartographic analyzes (Lepac) of which he is the founder.
