The Lord of the Rings: the Third-Age

the Lord of the Rings: The Third-Age is a Video game of style RPG, developed by Electronic Arts, left on GameCube, Playstation 2, Xbox and GameBoy Advance in 2004. On GameCube, Playstation 2 and Xbox, one moves with heroes like Berethor or Idrial, invented for the needs for the play. One traverses places like the Moria and one fights enemies like the Balrog. This play is of style RPG. While walking to make the searches and to seek treasures, one meets enemies and a combat starts. One selected turn by turn actions of those which one controls. There is possibility of playing two players; when there is no combat, that does not change anything, but at the time of the engagements, each player has his character. In the engagements one can have a maximum of three characters on a maximum of six, who join us throughout the play. The play is on two Cd.

On GameBoy Advance, the play is different, it is a Tactical RPG resembling a little Fire Emblem. One selected at the beginning a character of the trilogy of the Lord of the Rings among three, then one makes several independent searches, while choosing at the beginning one to three team-members. One can also play with the malicious ones. With the combat, the ground is divided into three, and a hero allows all those which are in the section to advance a certain number of times. Example, a hero can make three movements in its section, therefore it can make move only three characters. A character cannot play the same turn twice. Between the engagements, heroes, with the experiment which they gain, can buy of the fates or the objects. Moreover, the heroes produce each turn of the points of courage, more or less high. These points of courage make it possible to the heroes to use capacities giving them the advantage on their adversaries.
