The uniforms of the characters give some indications as for their unit of origin. Bob Brown comes from the 2nd regiment of cavalry (2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment). Hector Williams is resulting from the 18th Regiment of Infantry of the the 1st division of American infantry (The Big Red One), just like Colonel Ryan. Jonas Blane carries the badge of the the 1st division of American infantry her lattice during the 3rd season of the series. On his uniform of ceremony, one can also see the badge of the 187e regiment of Infantry (regiment attached to the 101e American airborne division and not to the the 1st division of American infantry) as well as the badges of the Special forces since Jonas is a Vert. beret Mack Gerhardt is resulting from the 101e American airborne division (Screaming Eagles).
