Synopsis

Here how the editor describes the book:

November 1943, close to Kiev. The political police chief Tchektariov saw his baptism of fire. Under the bombardments, separated from its men, his only chance of survival is to find a shelter. A German officer preceded there. Vis-a-vis the nonsense of their situation, the two men decide to share one moment of peace. But the war is not finished, and each one must go at the end of its own road. Taken in the one period turbid storm of the History, which choices the men can they make?
