Summary
Violet, Klaus and Prunille settle in their uncle Monty, an enthusiastic and accessible man, specialist in the snakes. II works in a large laboratory full with snakes out of cage and equipped with an exhaustive library on the herpetology. Monty discovered and named the death-sure Viper of Bengal. II acts of an inoffensive snake whose Monty invented the name by joke, and who is caught friendship for Prunille instantaneously. Very quickly the orphans are alarmed, not because of all these snakes mortals, but because of Stephano, the new one assisting of the professor, who carries an eye tattooed on ankle and the eyes which shine. The children try, without success, to convince Monty which it is about the count Olaf. The next morning, Monty is found died, be-saying victim of the one of the most poisonous snakes of the Earth, Mamba of the evil. The orphans, suspicious, study the books of the library and discover that Mamba of the evil strangles its victims all in the corrosive one; however, the body of uncle Monty does not carry any trace of strangulation! They know now that it is well the count Olaf who killed uncle Monty. Mr. Poe arrives; the children must make quickly if they want to prove that the count Olaf is the murderer. That will be difficult, in any event.
