the knight of the night is a French film carried out by Robert Darène in 1953.

Summary

Famous ballerina, Bella Fontanges is not happy any more with her young husband, Georges de Ségar. One evening of storm, the couple finds refuge in an isolated manor. The lord of the manor, a strange old man, proposes in Georges to separate in him the good and the evil. The operation succeeds but it is the evil which takes the top. Georges becomes harder and more cynical with Bella: arguments and fires follow one another then. Finally the good will triumph and Georges will find the love of his ballerina.
