The King and me (film, 1956)
the King and me ( The King and I ) is a Musical film carried out by Walter Lang, left in 1956.
Synopsis
Anna Leonowens leaves with his/her Louis son to Siam (today the Thailand) in order to become controlling it of the children of the king. Unfortunately, the King refuses to give him the house that he had promised to him and obliges it to live in the palate. Dissatisfied, Anna decides to leave Siam but Lady Thiang, the first woman of the King, makes it change opinion. She then decides to help the King who takes the practice to make it awake at late hours to ask him questions. An ambassador of England, Sir Edward must come to Siam to realize if the King is really barbarian. With the assistance of Anna, the King will succeed in proving that its country is civilized and offers a very successful festival. All seems to be well. Tuptim, the last woman of the King, arrival of Burma like gift, flees after the festival to find its in love and to leave with him. The soldiers of the King succeed in finding it and the King wants to whip it to punish it. Its in love drowned in the continuation. Anna is opposed to the punishment which the King wants to give to Tuptim and known as with the King that while thus acting it will act like a barbarian. The King will not whip finally Tuptim. Anna decides to leave Siam nevertheless. The day of his departure, one comes to prevent it that the King is very sick. Anna will see it and learns that it will die. It makes the decision to remain to deal with the children of the King and the Crown prince.
