the Island with the treasures is a French film carried out by Alain Berbérian, left in 2007.

Synopsis

The 17th century, a band of individuals come from different horizons, among which a malicious pirate, an aristocrat player as well as a surgeon, start a tour in boat in the search of a treasure, with for each one, the secret ambition to seize the treasure, but the thirst for gold seriously harms health.

A failure

The film is a true the artistic, as well according to criticism as public, and commercial failure: the film, expensive European coproduction, hardly reached the half-million entries in France. Developed with the base to be a Telefilm in two parts, the production took more than five years to be carried out and the film seems with final having lack of means to supplement turning, that being especially visible with the level of the final scene, particularly unmethodical (voice-off allowing to shorten, contradiction on the level of the relationship between the characters, waitings which the film let foresee finally not filled). That being, it is about a comic film carried out by large actors such as Gerard JUGNOT, Jean-Paul ROUVE, Alice TAGLIONI.
