The Island-Perrot

the Island-Perrot is a Canadian Ville located at the Quebec, in the regional Municipalité of county of Vaudreuil-Soulanges, located in the administrative area of the Montérégie. It is located precisely on the Île Perrot, from where it tien the same name, in the Archipel of Hochelaga.

The true name of the city being the Island-Perrot , the local denomination is Ville of the Island-Perrot (or V.I.P.) in order to avoid confusion with its neighbor Our-Lady-in-the Island-Perrot.

History

The Island was yielded the October 26th 1672 to François Marie Perrot, captain of the Régiment of Picardy and governor of Montreal, by the Intendant Jean Talon, the uncle of his wife.
