A satirical film of the medium of the Show biz. Three “Idols” of the song Yéyé give a press conference and return on their respective courses by denouncing the various negociations carried out by their managers to stimulate their careers: arranged sentimental stories, programmed tubes. The rebellion of the idols against their impresarii will consist of a public catharsis, a settling of score which will mark the end of their reign.

Comment

a satire more than ever of topicality? : Marc' O created the Idols with the theater with Paris in 1966 with appreciably the same team of actors. Its vitriolized satire of the world of the Show-biz is not obsolete. Marc' O considers, on the contrary, that the show business is more and more mû by short-term profitability. The production of stars ready “to consume” (then to throw), the system of the “lemon-squeezer” did nothing but be accentuated at the rate/rhythm of the years with the appearance of emissions people which manufacture with the chain of the singers modelled according to a receipt based primarily on the profit without risk: clothing dictated by the makers of vestimentary mode of the moment, recovery of repertories to tested successes. Gigi the Insane one, Charly Surineur and Simon the Magician more than ever with the point of the topicality?
