the Idealist ( The Rainmaker ) is an American film carried out by Francis Ford Coppola left in 1997 according to the novel éponyme John Grisham, published in 1995.

Synopsis

Rudy Baylor became lawyer by vocation. Young person, naive and desilvered, it has in more the handicap to live in Memphis, city which abounds men of law. After having made the turn of the cabinets, it succeeds in taking down a station in one of the less reluisants, directed by a notorious racketeer, been dependant on the Maffia local. Its owner associates a mentor crafty beggar and dynamics to him which quickly will inform it on hidden realities of its new profession. Rudy will deal with three businesses, of which one against frightening and powerful insurance company.
