The Hours is a American Film carried out by Stephen Daldry left in 2003, adapted novel éponyme of Michael Cunningham.
Synopsis
The Hours tells one day crucial of the respective lives of three women of various times, whose destinies are inter-connected by the novel Mrs Dalloway . Badly in their skin, the existence of each one of them has raison d'être only in their attachment with a third.-
the first, Virginia Woolf, large novelist of the beginning of the XXe century, is bored in the suburbs of Richmond, in the United Kingdom, where her Leonard husband took it along so that it rests. It begins a new work, Mrs. Dalloway , which will be the greatest success of its career, while fighting against the depressions which are usual for him.

Laura Brown, mother with the hearth in America of the Fifties, reads Mrs. Dalloway and wishes to change life, because his is not appropriate to him any more. It must deal with her son, Richie, hypersensitive little boy whom his/her mother only saw to like. Dark Laura in the melancholy and does not know which direction it must take.

Clarissa Vaughan, editor of New York to the 21e century, saw at the great day its homosexuality and decides to organize a reception in the honor of his/her best friend and former lover, Richard, reached AIDS. It represents the modern version of Clarissa Dalloway, heroin of the novel of Woolf, and enlise in a futile existence.
During the one day hours of appearance banal but however crucial, the destinies of these three women in vain search of happiness will intersect in order to weave a table of one crushing melancholy.

Around film
For film and in order to resemble Virginia Woolf, which she interprets, Nicole Kidman carried a false nose which makes it unrecognizable. The close-ups were improved numerically, and so the film could not obtain the Oscar of the best make-up, for which it left favorite. Nicole Kidman, who was in full divorce during the turning of film, says to be himself frequently served as her false nose to escape the paparazzis.
