The Holy year
the Holy year is a film carried out by Jean Girault in 1976
Synopsis
Max Lambert is an old gangster coriace. With the central prison of Melun, it meets Pierre Bizet who speaks to him to go to recover a nest egg of one half-milliard out of gold, buried close to a small vault in the neighborhoods of Rome. Marcel Scandini, ex-associate of max, organize their escape. Max is disguised as a bishop and Pierre as an abbot secretary. It is a question of benefitting from the holy year to slip in the middle of the pilgrims. On the aircraft for Rome, max recognizes Christina, one of its former mistresses. The Barbier police chief started alarm. But the plane is diverted on Tangier by hijackers ordered by Carla. Max negotiates with the authorities. It is taken as an hostage by the pirates. He escapes with the ransom and threatens to make jump the plane when the Barbier police chief wants to stop it. It is released to have saved the plane and to have restored the ransom. As for the nest egg, it was used to build a superb church.
