The school the Hive , (1904 - 1917), was created by the pedagog Anarchiste French Sebastien Faure. The man rented a field of 25 hectares close to Rambouillet, where an about sixty individuals/ues lived permanently. " abeilles" included/understood: forty children (boys and girls) coming proletarian families or being Orphan S and a Voluntary score of adults S, the whole without counting the temporary Comrade S wanting to try out this realization concrete anarchistic, or other comrades in political exile.

The teaching principles of Sebastien Faure would have been largely related with those of Paul Robin, according to the sentence: " Good birth, good education, good organization sociale." He sought to develop to the maximum all faculties of a child: physics (physical long walks, plays, healthy food), intellectual (classes) and morals (neither punishments, nor rewards, absence of authority and no form of classification).

The children spent their time between the classes, the plays and the services in the community. Young people were satisfied with the preceding activities while oldest (13 to 15 years) achieved training courses and could continue their courses of evening.

Once per annum, the 13 to 15 years left for a court travels, during which they made propaganda and sold postcards of their community.

The experiment was completed in 1917 whereas the First World War threatened the stability of the Hive.
