The Herbaliser
The Herbaliser is a British collective directed by Jake Wherry and DJ Ollie Teeba .
Jake, rocked by the Jazz and James Brown during her childhood, makes its beginnings while playing of the guitar and of low in various formations, he was member many groups of Jazz/Funk/Soul (the Propheteers, The Meateaters).
Ollie is a main DJ in the art of the Scratch and follower of the Hip hop which he discovers at the 15 years age. It is into 1984 that the two musicians meet for the first time, they form a little later The Herbaliser with many other instrumentalists, which makes their services lives particularly effective. In 1992, Jake builds its own studio and quickly Ollie and DJ Mallachi enter the adventure Train Trax (name of the studio). They leave regularly since 1994 the discs on the label Ninja Tune.
