History

By saving Richard plague in the temple of the winds , Kahlan inadvertently loses the three chimes in the world. From now on the magic dies everywhere and the chimes kill randomly. Kahlan and Richard must fight to return them in their prison of another world while facing in same time to the increasing threat of the Imperial Ordre carried out by the Emperor Jagang.

; Complete summary The history starts after the marriage of Richard and Kahlan at the People of Abode. The strange ones died and appearance of a " chicken which is not un" let predict the worst for Richard. To move away Richard and Kahlan from the danger and to only occupy themselves some, Zedd entrust to Richard that the only means of arrèter this chicken is to crash to pieces a bottle being in the Fortress of the wizard with the sword of Truth.

Actually, Kahlan released the Three Chimes which passed in our world. These chimes absorb any magic of the world of the alive ones. This thus causes the death of magic beings and thus the destruction of the world if the additive magic fails.

Richard, Kahlan and Cara, leave accomplire this task in Aydindril. During this time, Zedd and Anna separate: Zedd seeks indices on the Chimes in order to banish them and Anna infiltrates the Imperial Order to save the Sisters of Light captive of the emperor under Jagang.

Leaving the principal characters there, we are introduced with the country of Anderith made up of two nations: Anderiens, populates with the black hair which controls the country and Hakens, populates russet-red under the oppression of Anders. Centuries before it is Hakens which, says us one, have asservient the Anderien people at the time of a territorial conquète. Cara is obliged to flee after having seen the sword with the hands of the soldiers of the empire.

The pontiff dies, thus making reach Chamboor this same title and Dalton with that of Minister. This new position makes it possible Chamboor to have sexual relationships with Teresa. Richard decides to leave out of Ground West accompanied by Cara and Chaillou to allow Kahlan to cure naturellemnt. In way, it meets Dalton Campbell which excuses evil that it because and restores the sword to him.
