Synopsis

Joe Fernwright is the ceramics healer, undoubtedly best of the Earth. Unfortunately for him, it is with unemployment because there does not remain any more any pottery to be restored and nobody any more thinks of manufacturing news of them. In this futuristic company where he saw, gangrénée by overpopulation and a which gallops inflation, he survives only thanks to subsidies which allocates to him a totalitarian government. Divorced a woman authoritative and deprived of future, Joe Fernwright seriously thinks of putting an end to his days when an extraterrestrial entity, the Glimmung , proposes a work to him. For Joe Fernwright, this offer which at the right moment is a last chance and almost a redemption of its many failures.

The Glimmung , quasi divine entity, is joining together a team of many specialists coming from all the extraterrestrial species in order to make on Sirius V, known as planet of the Plowman. There, it intends to try to reinflate an absorbed cathedral, Heldscalla , in order to ressusciter of former gods. The future arises under best the auspices for Joe Fernwright who, at the time of the space flight which takes it along towards planet of Plowman meets an young woman, Mali, with which it falls in love. However, as of the landing, it enters in possession of a book sold and written by a race indigenous race, the Kalendes , which contains worrying predictions on the future.
