Synopsis
One evening of storm, a young girl, her father and his second wife (a rich woman who hates her daughter-in-law) find refuge in an old house occupied by an old rather strange couple, Hardwicke. The old man is a manufacturer of headstocks and puppets and the house is full with these wood or porcelain figurines. Three other people come in their turn to shelter at Hardwicke: a man with the rather childish temperament and two girls punk, which quickly control on all the objects which they make like in the house. But this evening, the headstocks soon will appear as being had, aggressive, violent: alive!
