The Guarantee

the Guarantee is a group of alternate French Rap, formed in the middle of the Années 1990, composed of Hi-Tekk and Nikkfurie, two brothers of Moroccan origin domiciled with Noisy-the-Dryness, who are supported by DJ Fab.

Biography

The title the electric Streets , their first maximum, reveals them in 1999. They start to be recognized thanks to their participation in the concerts of Assassin. Indeed, they ensure the first part of the round of the latter of 2000 2001, which enables them to touch an increasingly large audience. One discovers their musical style which are a mixture combining energetic electronic sonorities and original and percussion words. Wanting to break with the French Rap current, they bring a revival which tends to leave the medium Parisian underground.

They create towards 1999 their own label, Kerozen Music, with the assistance of Mouloud (today stimulating TV inter alia). Encouraged by the success of the electric Streets as well as their two first mixtapes K7, the members of the Guarantee, shouldered by DJ Fab, leaves their first album, Asphalte Howling in 2001. One year later, a version including seven new titles is republished.

Participant in many projects with other groups of Hip-hop, they leave the album Exquisite Cadavre in 2002 with the collective the Army the 12 (collective gathering the Guarantee, Saphir the Jeweller and including all taxes since 1999). They leave also a EP, Crash Test , in collaboration with the group of Electronic music Château Flight.

After more than three years of waiting, the double album Sorrows of Moors/Arc-en-ciel for daltoniens leaves the October 17th 2005. The album Peines of Moors remains in a rather traditional style, whereas the second, Arc-en-ciel for daltoniens , has sonorities much more electro S.

Hi-Tekk and Nikkfurie form also part of the collective Cautionneurs, with Saphir the Jeweller, Izno (the little brother of Hi-Tekk and Nikk) and 16S64. The latter are present on the two albums of the Guarantee with titles like: I plant the decoration or Révolver . It is as that which the first album left Cautionneurs, Quinte Flush Royale , the September 25th 2006.

Always active, it is after only two months, the November 13rd 2006, which leaves an album entitled the Guarantee returns visit to people and of people revisit the Guarantee . It is about an album CD/DVD composed of Remix are titles headlights of the group produced in particular by EDA (Enhancer), Radioinactive, Drixxxé etc as well as news (with in particular Oxmo Puccino) and of the extracts live of their round and documentary recalling their career.

Their title With mint appeared in the film Ocean' S Twelve, thanks to Vincent Cassel, forming part, with the Guarantee, of the artistic collective Kourtrajmé. They also appeared under the name of an imaginary group of the name of Sheitan for the Original soundtrack of film of the same name (realized by Kim Chapiron of Kourtrajmé), with their title Bâtards of Barbarians in whom they preach a Rap ultra-violent one, which is of course purely caricatural. The pieces Like a sampler and Autopilot , drawn from the album Sorrows of Moors , are also present in film.

In addition, the duet can also engage, for example while taking part in caritative concerts as the Mongrel Festival Your Zik where they occurred in support for UNICEF, or while posing on generous albums like Of the good sound for a good cause of the collective Apash.

While waiting for possible a new album announced for 2008, the two brothers and more particularly Nikkfurie continue the sounds on various compils or mixtapes ( It is necessary to save the rap French 2 , Against watch 2 , Industreet etc).
