The Good, the Bad and the Queen is the name of the new group of the leader of Blur, Damon Albarn.
Biography
Presented at the beginning like a solo project of Damon Albarn, produced by Danger Foams, NME revealed at the end of July 2006 that the project was in fact a new group formed by Damon Albarn. This one was surrounded of the Bassiste of The Clash, Paul Simonon, of the former member of The Verve, also Guitariste of Gorillaz on the last album (Demon Days) Simon Tong, and of the pioneer of the Afrobeat, Batteur of Cracked Kuti, Tony Allen. However, at the time of interview given during the round 2007, Damon Albarn will underline as soon as it will on the occasion of it that " The Good, the Bad and the Queen" is only the title of the album. There is no group, only one album.All begins during 2006 with three concerts, in Pig' S Nose Inn in East Prawle, in Marlboro Club of Ilfracombesand and Cavern Club of Exeter. Then, on October 26th, 2006.
The 4 artists leave then on the road for a great world tour. On scene, they are joined by some additional musicians, including 4 cords. The end in each concert of this round is marked by the presence also of Eslaam Jawaad, in guest, for the song " Mr. Whippy" (this song is also available, always with Eslaam Jawaad, on the face-B of the maximum d'" Herculean").
The round 2007 will pass in particular by the Uncontrollable cabinet to Paris on February 6th, 2007; Eurockéeennes of Belfort on July 1st, 2007 or Nights of Fourvière on July 22nd.
