the Gnomes robbers of slipway or Gnomes ( Gnomes in original version) is the seventeenth episode of the second season of the animated series South Park .

Synopsis

Mr. Tweek is likely to lose his coffee because of the competition of the coffees Harbucks, the children must thus make a serious talk on the methods of the large companies in order to save his establishment.

Comment

This episode points finger some practical marketing which use children to sell or promote anything. The mother of Tweek finds scandalous " to make use of the children for our profits personnels" , insinuation because they are weak or do not have the capacity to decide by themselves.

Died of Kenny

It is crushed by a coach. The young people make fun about it as usual but not the gnomes.

" Harbuck" the coffee S Starbucks parody.
the scene where Barbrady is made strike with the face with a cat is a homage to the Monthy Python, one indeed finds this scene in their film Sacré Graal.
Mr. Postum is named according to a drink with the taste of Café without Caféine.
Camel Joe, which offers coffee to the children, is a reference to Joe Camel, the mascot of the Cigarette S Camel which had been shown to push the children to be smoked.
