the Girl on the bridge is a French film carried out by Patrice Leconte, left in 1999. It is a film on the chance, representing métaphoriquement an love affair by the bonds between a launcher of knives and its “target”. Film intimist and rate/rhythm, the Girl on the bridge left in Cinémascope and Noir and white and obtained a success of regard, carried by its appreciated original soundtrack.

Summary

Adele is an young girl who knew only sentimental mishaps up to now. One evening, whereas it is on the point of jumping of a Parisian bridge, a man approaches it: Gabor, professional launcher of knives, proposes to him to become its partner, since it holds if little with the life. Adele throws herself to water, followed by Gabor, which saves it. She accepts finally the offer of Gabor and takes again taste with the life, carried by an incredible chance which seems to link Adèle and Gabor. They foam the Music-hall S and casino S through Europe, always crowned success. But the melancholy of Adele takes again the top, and it leaves its partner to flee with a disillusioned Greek young groom, on board a launch of help of the boat of croisère from where they occurred. The lovesong lasts only a time, the chance evaporated at once, and Adele is collected on a military base of her raft to the drift. On its side, Gabor wounds its its new partner at the time of his number. Unloaded with Istanbul, it sinks small-with-small in misery and wanders in the city in the search of its old target. Believing to see it, it is reversed in its continuation by a truck. Left the hospital, badly in point, it decides to put an end to its days while jumping of a bridge. At the fateful time, Adèle re-appears and they are promised to separate more
