Synopsis

Called the " chief of the pauvres" , Edmond Martin officiates in the kitchen of a soup kitchen once per week. Itself has been SDF for 18 years, in spite of its real culinary matter competences. One evening, at the conclusion of a meal, his/her friends of the bell offer a costume to him so that it can return visit to his daughter whom it did not see since it is with the street. But Edmond, who does not know what became Anne, fears confrontation. 18 years ago, indeed, this artist of the furnaces left woman and child, carrying with him the economies of the household to assemble its characteristic restoring to the United States. The experiment showed such a failure that Edmond, of return in France, preferred food in the street rather than to face his pars and his family… Edmond Martin finally decides to meet his daughter, who adopted the patronym of her mother, and goes in the de luxe hotel where she works. There, it is taken for the critic of a prestigious hotel guide…
