The Furnace
The Four is a group of artists of Glasgow composed of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Margaret MacDonald Mackintosh (which became his wife), the sister of this one, Frances MacDonald and James Herbert McNair.
They made some exposures to Glasgow, London, Vienna and Turin where they showed posters, furniture and some other drawings. These exposures enabled them to acquire a reputation (especially in Mackintosh).
