the Floor of Jeannot is a piece of parquet floor of 15 square meters, engraved of 80 lines of capital letters and punched carried out in 1971 by Jeannot the Béarnais (1939-1972).

Country young person inhabitant of Béarn, Jeannot carries out his Military service in Algérie in 1959. On its return, he learns the Suicide from his father, a violent man. With died of his/her mother in 1971, it buries it under the family staircase, stops feeding and starts to engrave the floor of its room of a long text. He dies a few weeks later at 33 years.

This engraved floor is discovered in 1993 and a reprocessed Psychiatre, Dr. Roux acquires of it. It sees an example of " there; Psychosis brute". A few years later, it sells it at the laboratory Bristol Myers Squibb. Consequently, the floor will be also regarded as a testimony of rough Art. Thereafter, the floor is regularly exposed, in particular in October 2005 with the National library of France and finally yielded to the Psychiatric hospital Holy-Anne with Paris, mainly thanks to the insistence of professor Jean-Pierre Olier, chief of the teaching hospital service which wishes to expose it to fight shame and the prejudices which weigh on the mental diseases.

Since the July 2nd 2007, the floor is exposed vis-a-vis the building of the hospital, on the pavement of the Rue Cabanis, visible of all.
