The Female Coenobite
The Female Cenobite is a fictitious character of the first two films of the saga Hellraiser.
It is about a Cénobite which appears in the films Hellraiser and Hellraiser II the sectional views. This character is interpreted by Grace Kirby in 1st first film and by Barbie Wilde in the second, however the character and the make-up remain the same ones.
Like the other coenobites, it is black leather vêtue and is mutilated. Many iron sons skin the skin around its neck, giving him a voice of in addition to-fall. In second film, four of wire holding its open throat were removed, leaving only one structure. When it is killed at the end of Hellraiser II: The sectional views, it takes again its original human form, revealing the fact that it was one day a pretty fair young woman.
According to the american company National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) which designed and marketed the articulated figurine The Female Cenobite, it would have been a named declining nun Sœur Nikoletta, although this history does not appear in any films of Hellraiser. The history of the NECA was an idea of Gary J. Tunnicliffe, person in charge of the make-up for following films, and not that of the creators of the character.
