the Famous Invasion of Sicily by the bears is a novel of the Italian writer Dino Buzzati, illustrated by itself. The original title is the famosa invasione degli orsi in Sicilia . It was published for the first time in 1965.
The history starts with the removal of Tonin, the son of the king of the Ours, by hunters. It is retained prisoner in the mountains of Sicily until his/her father decides to invade the plain inhabited by the hunters during one very rigorous winter. Thanks to all his army and a magician, Tonin is finally found and the men are overcome.
