The Entertainer

Composed by Scott Joplin in 1902, The Entertainer is the refrain-headlight of the time of the Rag or Ragtime. It is dedicated with " James Brown and his Mandolin Club" (nothing to see with the " Godfather off Soul" of course, but earlier with a unit, made up exclusively of mandoline, running at the time). Like Pink off Picardy for the following decade, it was the most popular Chanson of its time.

Thanks to the film Swindles It , this title found more than one half-century later its popularity of the time of the Mad years: in 1973, The Entertainer becomes number three with the Hit parades of the Billboard magazine.
