the Enemy of Homer is the 23e episode of season 8 of the televised series Simpson .

Synopsis

A new employee arrives at the nuclear plant: Frank Grimes Sr.. This model employee becomes acquainted with Homer, and also of sound " professionnalisme": Homer eats its donuts like a pig, corrodes the pencils of Grimes (if it does not make use of it like cotton buds) and regulates a problem of engine of code 5-13 by pouring a water bucket on the computer. Grimes (Gremlin for Homer) is deafened by learning that Homer is responsible for safety.

Moe Szyslak then advises in Homer to invite it to dine. But Grimes, for which very at hard summer in the life (it was pulverized by an explosion, it has to learn the nuclear physics all alone…), sees there the water drop which makes overflow the vase: Homer, this large lazy, has two cars, an exceptionally gifted girl, beautiful clothes, lobsters to be cooked, a son owner of a factory (in fact an unused factory which is worth 1 dollar and which will crumble), went in space, knows people famous etc…

Homer then tries to become more professional, but Grimes is not convinced. This last then bates the poster of a contest for children in order to prove that Homer is not worth more than one child of low age. It places it in the office of Homer, which takes up the challenge: to build the model of the nuclear plant of the future. Three candidates will be seen: Ralph Wiggum which took a house of Mrs. Claude, Martin Prince who designed the power station of tomorrow and Homer Simpson with the same power station as the true one, but with two ailerons on the chimneys and of the multicoloured bands. Charles Montgomery Burns decrees the first price to him, and Grimes becomes insane by making the " Homer Simpson". And he dies while touching without gloves of the cables with high voltage… At the time of its burial, Homer says while the Reverend Lovejoy speaks: " Change chain, Marge." And everyone laughs…
