The Electric Soft Parades
The Electric Soft Parades is English a pop-rock'n'roll group of Brighton (Sussex) made up mainly of the brothers Tom and Alex White.
Beginning their career under the name of The Feltro Media, the White brothers publish in the beginning of the 21e century The Wondeful World off The Feltro Media , almost untraceable currently. In 2002, after having chosen the name of The Electric Soft Parades (the starting name was The Soft Parades , but had to be changed for contractual reasons, a homage group to Doors bearing this name already) leaves its first true album, Holes in the wall, on label dB.
Enjoying excellent criticisms and carried by individual “the Silent to the Dark ”, the album propels ESP on the front of the indie-pop scene, the group opens for the Who or Oasis, finds head of poster of many festivals and is seen nominated for Mercury Prize this same year.
To the autumn 2003 leaves the second effort called The american adventure. Although more adventurous and more succeeded, the album is a commercial failure. The group is put outstanding mainly because of conflicts with Sony BMG which releases the group for lack of success.
In 2005, the White brothers reconsider the front of the scene, first of all with the side-project Brakes but especially with a new recording company for Electric Soft Parades , Truck Records. End 2005, ESP leaves a EP 6 titles, The human body, obvious result of The American Adventure, which attracts itself eulogistic criticisms quickly (to be noted that the American version, left to Better Looking records, contains 7 titles).
The last opus in date entitled No need to Be downhearted left in April 2007, enjoying good criticisms on the other side of the channel.
