The Elder Scrolls is a Série of video game developed by the company Bethesda Softworks since 1994.

The principal plays of the series The Elder Scrolls are

They are roleplays. They are recognized for the great liberty of action which they leave to the players, as for the size of the world in which those evolve/move. All these plays were published on PC, but Morrowind is also available on Xbox, and Oblivion on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Two extensions for Morrowind exist: Court (2002) and Bloodmoon (2003). An extension for Oblivion left in November 2006: Knights off the Nine ; another left in March 2007: Shivering Isles .

It should be noted that The Elder Scrolls V would currently be under development or at least in pre-production, according to Peter Hines, spokesperson of Bethesda Softworks.

The The Elder Scrolls Travels Dawnstar , Stormhold and Oblivion (mobile) turn on the cellphones supporting java. Shadowkey is as for him a play exclusively available on the console N-Pledge. Battlespire and Redguard left only on PC.

Other plays were one moment envisaged by Bethesda Softworks, but their development was given up or reorientated: " Mournhold" , " Dungeon off Daggerfall" , " Tribunal" or " Eye off Argonia".

Universe of the series

All the plays of the series occur on the fictitious continent from Tamriel in a Medieval-fantastic universe “”.

Although the universe is very detailed, no compilation of all information is never available. During the play, historical references, cultures, religions and various points of companies, though many and very coherent, are given only in a fragmentary way. The players are thus encouraged to forge their own opinion.

Tamriel

Tamriel extends on 8 million km ². It is a continent where several companies developed, it is primarily populated the human ones and elves but of other races exist in Tamriel and they are gathered in various areas which correspond to them. Last nine areas exist in Tamriel, they are controlled by the central capacity of the imperial city. All different from/to each other, we can walk in green plains to mountains covered with snow while passing by the infested marshes. Here nine areas and the races which populate them:

the Archipelago of the Fall , populated by the Top-Elves, and combined with theWooded one. Its capital is Alinor.

  • Bordeciel , populated by the Scandinavian ones. Its capital is Winterhold.
  • Cyrodiil , populated by the Imperial ones. Its capital is the Imperial City.
  • Elsweyr , populated by Khajiits, a race close to the cats. Its capital is Torval.
  • Hauteroche , populated mainly by the Breton ones. There exists an enclave named orc Orsinium in the Queue mountains of Dragon, close to the mouth of the Bjoulsae river. The capital of Hauteroche is Daggerfall.
  • Lenclume , populated by Rougegardes. Its capital is Sentinelle.
  • the Black Marsh , or Argonia, populated by Argoniens, a race close to the lizards. This province does not have a known capital, even if legends circulate in this connection.
  • Morrowind , populated by the Black Elves. Its imperial capital is Vivec but because of insubordination of the natives the royal city of Lonsanglot remained.
  • the Valley-Wooded , populated by the Elves of Wood, and combined with the Archipelago of the Fall. Its capital is Falinesti.

For the unit of Tamriel of the organizations, with creditable goal, exist in Tamriel. One can count the guild of the Magi who prohibited the nécromancie and which fights against, the guild of the warriors works for the people, but the order of the blades is most important because it ensures the protection of the emperor.

The guild of the robbers

The guild of the robbers is a criminal conspiracy.

The guild of the robbers, directed by the Gray Fox, is undoubtedly the worst nightmare of the imperial guards, which spend their time pursueing his chiefs. The members of this guild fly but do not kill, they plunder but do not keep anything, they are to some extent “Robin of Wood”.

Some could qualify it the maléfique one but this guild is in fact contrary with the Black Confrérie, whose members kill for the pleasure. Those of the guild of the robbers, on the other hand, do not have absolutely the right to kill, during their missions or in general, nor even that to steal another member of the guild of the robbers, or else they are made expel and had to pay a fine with a senior of the guild to reinstate it.

If this guild is badly, the Gray Renard has an asset all the same: the beggars espionnent for him and inform it of all the traps tended by Hyéronimus Lex (the chief of the guard the Imperial City, keenest against the guild). It is not obvious to integrate and the information collected in the beggars is never free, at least when they are it, they are false.

The black brotherhood

The Black Brotherhood is a guild of assassins. She is directed by the Mother of the Night.

In Morrowind

If, in Daggerfall and Oblivion, the Black Brotherhood is accessible to the beginning from the play, it appears in Morrowind only after the installation of the Add one Tribunal. The shadies of the guild on several occasions try to kill you in your sleep. Indeed, they are attracted by your fortune and your celebrity in the world of Morrowind (the player is supposed being of relatively high level (35-40) and to have developed its competences in the principal play…).

It is the guild which will push you to inform you about the origin of the attacks and to return to you in their General headquarter, hidden under Longsanglot.

Note: The worst enemies of Black Brotherhood are the members of an organization present only in Morrowind, Morag Tong. Contrary to the Black Brotherhood, this one is legal and respects a code of honor very strict.

In Oblivion

You will hear surely many rumors circulating on this mysterious guild of assassins, of of which the way of entering in relation to it, at the very least radical, but not necessarily desired. For information if the purpose of you kill somebody by awkwardness or obligation, without being to join the Brotherhood, and that you do not wish it even once the occasion presented; you will be able however to remove you neither from the blade nor of the search in your newspaper.

History

Three eras

When we INCLUDE/UNDERSTAND the events which arrive to us, the events enter the history. The history is comprehension. Actually, we are that stupid animals trying to escape cold.

Hasphat Antabolis

Tamriel, the central place of the conflicts of the good and the evil, has much history. Since the Era of the Paddle when the gods walked on the Grounds and of the Era Mérétique until the Third Era of the glorious Septim dynasty.

Long the First Era is marked by the difference of being able of the Elves and Human and the birth of some of the most powerful religions of the territory. Since the heart of Tamriel, we become acquainted with the powerful race of human, since their poor wretch destiny of slaves for finally becoming able to push back their Masters Elves out of the continent. From the north-eastern zone of the continent, where the heart of Lorkhan did so many deaths, since Dwemer with Chimer and possibly with the Human ones. The divine heart caused a terrible war and the extinction of a great race.

The Second Era starts after Akaviri Potentate assassinates the last of the Cyrodiil line. It is also the era when some of the largest guilds were born, the Guilde of the Magi for example belonged to the more great events of this period. The era dies out finally after Tiber Septim , having forged an artefact Dwemer called Numidium , and which bound entire Tamriel once again.

The Third era , that certain people regard as the most glorious era of Tamriel, is also the time of the Dynastie Septim . In fact, the long line of the Septim Emperors is at least at the end of many points in the history. Some significant events are the Guerre of Red Diamond , and the long anguish of the reign of a tortureux Jagar Tharn . Moreover, this era is marked by a resurgence of Numidium and the rebirth of Nerevar , the largest Chimeri general.
