The Echo of the timbrology
the Echo of the timbrology is a French monthly magazine on the collection of the postage stamps and the collections dependant (Marcophilie, Postcard in particular). The magazine has as a subtitle “the platform of the philatelists”.
History
The first number is appeared the November 15th 1887 and was published in 5.000 specimens by Edmond Frémy, then installed with Douai (Northern). Frémy makes print its bulletin by the printing works of the Famille Yvert with Amiens, then directed by the Master printer and philatelist Théodule Tellier. In 1890, the disease prevents Frémy from continuing the drafting of the Echo which Tellier takes again.In 1895, the associate of Tellier, Louis Yvert, decides to devote his energy of contractor in philately. Yvert becomes the editor association of the Echo of the timbrology which from now on is accompanied by the publication by a Catalog by stamps.
The review is directed by descendants of Louis Yvert: Pierre Yvert in the years 1930, the son of this one Jean in 1955.
The magazine is currently published by a Limited liability company (limited liability company) for the same name and whose seat is with Amiens and the drafting in the IX {{E}} district of Paris. The impression is carried out by printing works Yvert. Its director of the publication is Benoît Gervais.
