the Deputy of Arcis is a Romance French of Honore de Balzac, begun in 1839, taken again by the author in 1843, then in 1847, it enters the Scènes of the political life of the human Comedy . It will be published finally only after the death of the author, in 1854, thanks to the devoted contest of Charles Rabou, which will finish other unfinished novels left by Balzac.
The first part of the novel appeared in 1847 in the monarchical Union under the title: the Election . The integral novel continued by Charles Rabou according to the indications of Balzac and Ewelina Hańska, was published 1852 in Constitutional the in three parts which gathered: the Election , the Count de Sallenauve , and the Family Beauvisage where the collaboration of Charles Rabou was not mentioned. The three parts of the Deputy of Arcis did not appear together. The first was published at Potter in 1854 with the mention finished by Charles Rabou , the Count de Sallenauve and the Family Beauvisage appeared the following year (1855) and later at Michel Levy in Complete works of Honore de Balzac with the mention: finished by Charles Rabou.
