The Dam

the Dam is the third most populated island of Seychelles. It draws its incomes from tourism, thanks to its beaches of sand beaches end. The means of transport are there mainly the oxcart and the bicycle. The island is accessible from Praslin in 30 minutes per boat.
The island is in particular famous for its Plage Anse Source of Money, probably one of the most famous beaches of the world , made of sand fine and enclosed impressive rock chaos.
History
In 1769, Nicolas Thomas Marion-Dufresne, ordering the Dam, explored the Seychelles by order of the Praslin (which also gives its name to Praslin).

The island of the Dam is located at 6 km of Praslin and at 43 km of Mahé in the archipelago of the Seychelles.
Of a surface of 10 km, it is of the microphone-continent type, indeed neither coral nor volcanic, base is of the granitic type. One can see of them splendid outcrops with the famous beach Anse Source of money
