The DB\' S
The dB' S was a group of American Powerpop created at the end of the Années 1970.
Formed in 1978 by Chris Stamey after the separation of The Sneakers, they are joined soon by Peter Holsapple.
They associate the influences of Big Star, of the Beatles, The Move and the Byrds to create its single Powerpop.
They leave their first album `' Stands for decibels'' in 1981 at IRS.
Stamey will leave the group after the second album in 1982, leaving Holsapple to the orders. Other albums will follow but in spite of a success of regard on behalf of the journalists and criticisms, business success is not with return to him and they end up separating at the end of the years 1980.
Stamey and Holsapple will leave together an album in 1991, then will continue each one a career solo. The group reappears in 1994 for a new disc Paris Avenue .
