Biography
The D.O.C is a rappor Afro-American of the true name of Tracy Lynn Curry , born on June 10th, 1968 with Houston, Texas. In its youth, it definitively leaves food to Dallas (West Dallas) to Texas then to Compton in California where it entered the group of rap N.W.A.. Before its entry in the group, The D.O.C belonged to the group Fila Fresh Crew which was at Dallas in Texas.
The role of The D.O.C in N.W.A. is important because it helps Eazy-E concretely to carry out words assassinate on the mythical album Straight Outta Compton left in 1988. It becomes thereafter one of the lyric writers of the group with in particular MC Ren and Ice Cube, which will enable him into 1989 to carry out its album solo No One Can C It Better with Dr. DRE as producer and type-setter. Some of its songs are composed by great musical personalities like George Clinton on the titles Beautiful But Deadly and The Grand Finale with N.W.A., Isaac Hayes on Let The Bass Go and Marvin Gaye on The Formula . This album is a success, The D.O.C does not have whereas 21 years.
Dr. DRE presents it to Suge Knight and Snoop Doggy Dogg which it will help much in his career.
August 20th, 1989, it is seriously wounded in an car accident and is seen losing its voice.
In 1991, Dr. DRE leaves N.W.A. and Ruthless Records of Eazy-E for Death Row Records of Suge Knight. The D.O.C decides to follow it and takes part in the composition of certain songs of the famous album The Chronic like Lil' Ghetto Servant boy , has Nigga Witta Gun , and Bitches Ain' T Shit .
In spite of its damaged voice, The D.O.C leaves in 1996 the album Helter Skelter produces by Erotic D and realized by Dr. DRE. The second album of the wonder texan knows poor sales.
In 2003, The D.O.C leaves its third album Deuce which resembles one compilation more than an album solo. Many artists are reproduced on this album like Dr. DRE, Ice Cube, MC Ren, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, and Nate Dogg (Tha Dogg Pound), Six-Two (protected from The D.O.C of West Dallas), Cadillac Seville, and El Dorado.
In 2004, its first tube solo It' S Funky Enough (1989) was seen in the playlist video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on Radio operator Los Santos.
