the Cycle of Ekumen is a major cycle of Science-fiction, written by Ursula K. Guin.

History

There are hundreds of thousands of years, the people of Hain colonized various planets, of which ground. For unknown reasons, the bond with these people disappeared, and it is only well later, after the redécouverte of the space flights which it was possible to recreate a bond between these people.

Discovered of Ansible, Creation of " The League of all mondes" (The name of the world is Foret)

600 before " planet of Exil" , the Enemy is there, the League of all the worlds demolishes himself. It gathered 80 planets

The league was reformed under the name of Ekumen (the left hand of the night)
