the Crossing of the Headlight is a telefilm written and carried out by Thierry Redler, diffused in 1999.

Synopsis

Eric, 10 years, is placed for the énième time in a family of reception by the DASS. This child, considered as difficult, fails this time at the Sluices, with Royan, small fishing port. Supporting these forced displacements badly, the kid decides to invent another life. Marie, of the same age that Eric, is also orphan. Since the fishing father of the young girl disappeared at sea, Corinne, his/her aunt, and Pierre, the guard of the headlight of Cordovan, try after a fashion to replace the parents whom it does not have any more. As its dad called it " small mousse" , Marie acts, gets dressed and reasons like a boy, and its behavior disturbs. On the benches of the school, the meeting held on the two children is a revelation.

the film was turned in Charente-Maritime, in the area of Royan and with La Rochelle.

Of many scenes was turned on the Phare of Cordovan and on the wild coast, of Royan to Palmyre. In particular with the bridge of the devil to St-Palate, on the beach of the Large-Coast and in the forest of Coubre.

Distinctions

This film received the Prix Geneva Europe of the best European scenario for a first film. During its first diffusion, it was followed by nearly 8 million televiewers.
