Synopsis

Edmond Dantès, second of a tradind ship of return of the East having taken the command of its ship after the death of the captain, accosts in the isle of Elba to transmit a letter to Napoleon. Following this imprudence, made to respect the will of its predecessor, it is victim of a machination warped by the Caderousse sailor, the officer Fernand de Morcerf (enthusiast of Mercedes, been engaged of Dantès) and the magistrate Henri de Villefort (who fears a compromising related to the friendships Bonapartists of his Noirtier father).
