The Council of in top
The Council of in-high is the name given to the Council of State, or Conseil of the Businesses, under Louis XIV and Louis XV. It was called thus because it sat on the first floor of the Château of Versailles, near the royal room.
It is a cautious advice where sit only between three and six members, who carry the title of ministers of state. The accession with the Council of in-high is subjected to the royal decision; nobody enters there of right. The deliberations are secret there, and it is not held of minutes of the meetings. The Council follows the king in all his displacements.
Under the reign of Louis XIV, the Council of in-high enjoys a great influence, and generally the king conforms to the opinions which are delivered there. Under the reign of Louis XV, the Council of in-high cheek a great role until 1726, date on which Louis XV fact share with the Council of his intention to only control. He will however take account of the opinion of his advisers.
