The Council of company

The council of company indicates in Belgium one of the institutions representative of the personnel within the company. The French equivalent of this body is the Work's council.

The council of company is composed of the representatives of the workers elected with the last social elections as well as representatives of the employer. The employers' delegation is made up of the head of undertaking and one or several effective delegates designated by him with being able to represent it and engage it because of the administrative duties which they exert in the company. Their number cannot be higher than the number of deputy workers. It should be noted that the advisers in prevention can, because of their functions, to form part neither of the employers' delegation nor of the delegation of the workers.
