The Cop of Shanghai

the Cop of Shanghai ( Martial Law ) is a Televised series étasunienne in 44 episodes 43 minutes, created by Carlton CUSE, and diffused between the September 26th 1998 and the May 13rd 2000 on the network CBS. In France, the series was diffused October 4th 1999 with the February 22nd 2001 on M6 and was repeated in 2005.

Synopsis

This series puts in scene Sammo Law, police officer with Shanghai and specialist in the martial arts, which joined the police force of Los Angeles with the mission of finding a dangerous criminal Chinese. Its mission lasts for ever and it solves many businesses with the assistance of its fellow-members Malone, Dickson and Parker.

Comments

The main role of this series, held by Sammo Hung, had originally been proposed with Jackie Chan, his/her friend of childhood which would have refused the offer not to be locked up in the role of Chinese police officer to the the United States. Indeed, this one had just played in Rush Hour which had met a great success. Besides in one of the episodes of the series, Sammo refers to this film while passing in front of a cinema at the wheel of its mythical blue car posting film of his/her friend Jackie…
