The Company of the ices

the Company of the ices is a series of novels of Science-fiction written by G. - J. Arnaud of 1982 with 1992 (with a return in 2001).

Extremely of 98 episodes it is the longest romantic serial all confused literatures writes by the same person (the series “Perry Rhodan” being it with several hands). The screen rests on a post-apocalyptic epopee occurring on a Ground covered with Glace and governed by railway companies all powerful and by a religion which one could assimilate in his operation at worst the dictatorships of the XXe century (for the aspect dictatorship of the spirits to see rather the famous novel 1984).

In short, it is a mixture of science fiction, whodunnit, black novel, and novel spy novel of station.

Summary

An apocalyptic vision post of the ground where the moon exploded and recovers the ground of its dust, creating an atmosphere not letting pass the rays of the sun. A new glacial era obliges the survivors has to live in cities under spheres connected between them by large railway companies which reign as a Master on their networks.

Adaptation as a cartoon

Since 2003, the studio of cartoons Jotim adapts the saga in Cartoon in the editor Dargaud. It is a project of group, where the name of the studio hides the various authors who work on the series, Philippe Bonifay dealing with the adaptation in scenario. The studio intends to publish several cycles at a rate of a publication of two volumes per annum, and pauses between the cycles.
