The Community of the Arch
The Communauté of the Arch is a Association which gathers people having a mental handicap. It was rested by the Canadian Jean Vanier in 1964, with Trosly-Breuil, in the Département of Oise.
Employees of the social services live with mental handicapped people and are helped by the voluntary ones.
The communities of the Arch would gather 5.000 members in 131 communities, present in 34 countries.
The posted goal of the Arch is to help the people suffering from a intellectual handicap in their giving a place in the company. Although opened nonto the believers, the communities of the Arch arise as “communities of faith” on the basis of religious syncretism opened to all the currents of thought and religions.
Like the Charter of this organization says it, she have-denominational and is not recognized by the Catholic church
