The Communauté of development of Southern Africa (or SADC , Acronym of the English Southern African Development Community ) is an organization which aims at promoting the economic development of the Southern Africa. It succeeded the August 17th 1992 the Conférence of coordination for the development of the Southern Africa , founded on April 1st 1980.

  • Mozambique
  • Swaziland
  • Tanzania
  • Zambia
  • Zimbabwe

The total of the members passed to 14 with adhesions of:

The Seychelles joined the Community the September 8th 1997, but left it on July 1st 2004. Negotiations would be in hand for a réadhésion. The candidature of the Rwanda was rejected in 2005 for questions of procedure.
