The community of communes of two banks of the Seine is a French inter-commune structure , located in the department of the Yvelines and the area Île-de-France.

History

The community of communes of two banks of the Seine was created by order of the prefect of the November 29th 2005.

It installed its head office in the old town hall of Carrières-sous-Poissy. the first Council communuataire met on December 5th, 2005.

Composition

The community of communes of two banks of the Seine gathers six communes, adding up 63.413 inhabitants:

The president of the community of communes is Michel Sorain (also mayor of Chapet).

The vice-presidents have each one charges a field of action with it:

  • Town and country planning and housing policy: Philippe Tautou, mayor of Verneuil-sur-Seine
  • Economic development, employment and put in network of the social actions: Pierre Cardo, deputy and mayor of Chanteloup-the-Vines
  • Culture, sports, leisures, tourism and transport: Hugues Ribault, mayor of Andrésy, General adviser
  • Environment and roadway system: Jean-Pierre Houllemare, mayor of Triel-sur-Seine
  • Finances and human resources: Daniel Schalck, mayor of Carrières-sous-Poissy
