The community of communes of the area of Haguenau was created December 13rd, 2002 and account nearly 43.763 inhabitants.

These sectors have a minimal surface of 4 ha only one holding. To date, the projects of zones of Community activity of interest are the following:
The Council of the community received by the communes concerned deliberates to specify if a new project of zone of activities corresponds to a Community interest, the statutes being then modified under the conditions envisaged by the General Code of the local government agencies

Maintenance of the roadway system
- servicing of the roadway system itself; it includes/understands the servicing of the roadways, gutters, edges and pavements
- taken again depressions of roadways and pavements since the impact remains limited to a surface of a few taken again square meters
- carriageway surfacings and pavements (coated degraded, potholes) within the limit of a surface of a few taken again square meters
- depressions or degradations of edges of gutters since the impact remains limited to a few linear meters
- levelling of the heads and glances for the services not taken in load by the SIVOM within the framework of its competence cleansing
- mechanical sweeping of the roadways and gutters (monthly passage of the sweeper)
- mechanical snow clearance of the roadways as a need (snow-plow, salt truck)
- census for the inheritance of the roadway system: census of the whole of the ways (street, places…) and their geometrical characteristics; establishment of a diagnosis of the ways and their accessories (fitted, edges, pavements, lighting, street signs…) and their follow-up; proposal for a hierarchisation of work

- trunk roads and secondary roads in agglomerated zone, for the parts not dealt with by the State and the General advice
- communal ways arranged (*) in agglomerated zone
- country lanes arranged in agglomerated zone and ways, communal private properties, arranged and opened with the public circulation (*) which are arranged like public highway and whose communes will have to pronounce the classification in the public roadway system
- communal ways arrange (*) except agglomeration
- the arranged forest roads (*) since they have a statute of public highway
- the cycle tracks arranged (*) in site clean
- arranged public carparks (*)
