The Community of communes of the Valley of Oise and the Three Forests

The the Community of communes of the Valley of Oise and the Three Forests is a French inter-commune structure , located in the department of the Val-d'Oise and the area Île-de-France.

History

The community of common was created on November 17th 2003.

The Community territory

The Community territory is described rather precisely by the name of the EPCI. Indeed, it gathers on the one hand communes of the valley of Oise located on banks of the river like Champagne-on-Oise, Parmain and Isle-Adam and, on the other hand, of the " communes; forestières" broadsides by national forests such as Presles, Villiers-Adam, Chauvry, Béthemont-the-Forest and, again, Isle-Adam. The three forests to which it is refers in the name of the structure are:

  • the national forest of Isle-Adam
  • the national forest of Carnelle
  • the national forest of Montmorency

In addition to the forests, the Community territory extends on other natural sites from importance like the Vallée from Chauvry and the Regional natural park from French Vexin (the communes of Right Bank of the Oise of Parmain and Champagne-on-Oise form part of it).

The community of communes is thus with horse between the French Vexin and the Western forest part of the Pays of France.

The community of communes is clearly centered around the city of Isle-Adam who dominates démographiquement and economically the other communes.
