The community of communes of the Center Haut-Rhin is a French inter-commune structure , located in the department of the Haut-Rhin and the area Alsace.
It is since on Wednesday, January 8, 2003 that the Community of Communes of the Haut-Rhin Center succeeds officially the Community of Communes of the XII Mills. This new entity gathers from now on the communes of Biltzheim, Ensisheim, Meyenheim, Munwiller, Niederentzen, Niederhergheim, Oberentzen, Oberhergheim and Réguisheim. Within this structure which counts nearly 13.000 inhabitants, Ensisheim, city of more than 5.000 inhabitants, are represented by five deputy holders and two deputy substitutes. The other communes, as for them, are represented by two deputy holders and a temporary delegate. Mr Michel HABIG, Mayor of Ensisheim, takes the presidency of this intercommunality. Three vice-presidents must shoulder it in this load: Mr Paul HÉGY, Mayor of Oberhergheim, is in charge with the environment and town and country planning. Mrs Francoise BOOG, Mayor of Meyenheim, is in charge of the social, cultural and sporting affairs. To Mr Jean-Pierre WIDMER, Mayor of Niederentzen, the economic affairs and tourist are entrusted. Sirs the Mayors of the five other communes are members of the office. Three priority work axes were adopted the very same day of the birth of the community: selective collection of the household refuse, the school and extra-curricular policy, early childhood. In addition, it was decided to work out an inter-commune charter of development.

Envisaged as of the creation of the Community of the Communes of the Haut-Rhin Center, this charter must allow, thanks to an important partnership with the General advice, to develop and preserve a framework of life of quality, to build a strong inter-commune solidarity, to develop a territorial offer of quality and to reinforce the economic vitality of the territory.
