The Community of communes of Combes
The Communauté of communes of Combes is a EPCI with clean taxation located in the department of the Haute-Saône in France.
History
The Community of Communes is a public corporation of inter-commune co-operation (EPCI), which gathers 22 communes of the canton of Scey on the Saone and Saint Albin as well as Neuvelle Scey which belongs to the canton of Combeaufontaine to reach 5600 inhabitants. Located a few kilometres from Vesoul, the Community of Communes is appreciated for its quality and its framework of life (valley of the Saone, plains, plates limestones…)In 1994, six communes decided to launch out in the adventure of the intercommunality in order to link itself to be stronger with the service of the inhabitants and the territories on the side of Scey on the Saone.
The intercommunality made it possible to federate the territory and to carry out heavy investments: construcion of extra-curricular centers, restoration of the bell-towers comtois, residences rental, installation of allotments, tourist development…
